Energy, water, infrastructures and environmental protection are among the most complex and synergetic fields in Israel and the media coverage relating to them has significantly increased in recent years.  Issues ranging from the establishment of a national system for conveying natural gas, through the accelerated development of the solar energy market, the struggles surrounding the establishment of coal-fired power plants and the drought tax, have all been subject of substantial importance in the public discourse in Israel.  The various players in these fields are active in local and international markets, and are subject to local and global regulatory, economic, social and environmental processes.
